Yellow House Events

A visual refresh and UX refinement built on GLK's proprietary Figma design system, focused on improving layout consistency, mobile performance, and CMS scalability while keeping the existing brand intact.

Yellow House Events is a full-service event production company creating large-scale experiential activations for major global brands including Amazon, Instagram, Facebook, and Intuit.

The Challenge

The existing website needed a modern UI update without a full rebuild. The goal was to refresh the look and feel, tighten layout consistency, improve responsive behavior, and better align the site with current brand standards, all while ensuring the site remained flexible and easy to maintain within a CMS environment.

Key challenges included:

• Preserving brand recognition while modernizing the visual language.
• Refining UX without disrupting familiar page structures.
• Ensuring layouts scaled cleanly across all screen sizes.
• Aligning front-end design decisions with CMS-friendly components.

Our Approach

We implemented our proprietary Figma-based design system to guide the facelift, utilizing modular components, responsive grid frameworks, typography scales, and color tokens to ensure consistency across all layouts.

Rather than redesigning from scratch, we refined existing structures by:

• Simplifying layout composition.
• Improving hierarchy and spacing.
• Optimizing mobile breakpoints.
• Standardizing UI components across pages.

This component-first workflow allowed for faster iteration and seamless handoff to development while keeping the visual update controlled and cost-efficient.
